On site

I sketched this tree while in East Princes St Gardens this morning. A young Brazil man told me it was beautiful. If only I could speak Spanish! I'm proud of the wine glass because I used the idea in The Art of Travel with a Sketchbook (by Mari Le Glatin Keis) to use materials on site - so the wine is painted with the cab merlot I was drinking!

What a fantastic idea, using real wine to add colour to a drawing of a wine glass! Looks great. Is the tree a weeping willow?

P.S. Don't worry about not being able to speak Spanish with the Brazilian guy - his native language would be Portuguese. ;)

To confess, I am not sure what the tree was. But it did look weeping. Well the Brazilian guy asked me if I could speak spanish so maybe he was under cover ;)
